Ellis went along to a TotalFootball week having been given a leaflet at a local football tournament. A little bit nervous attending by himself, Ellis had a fantastic time meeting new friends and having fun, learning new techniques and tricks with a range of age groups and abilities from across the area. All of this could not be achieved without the unstinting and dedicated support of Chris, Daryl, Richard at TotalFootball.
I would like to thank them and TotalFootball UK who continue to support and promote the benefits of participation at all levels and celebrate their achievements, commitment and success.
Through TotalFootball Ellis was fortunate enough to be recommended for trials at the Walsall Acadamy where he has attended further training sessions.

Most of my team attended Total Football's Autumn half term soccer school in October & despite this being one of the worst weeks on record for weather for that time of year (snow blizzards ! ) all of my lads thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
I collected a few of the lads every afternoon & they were always 'on a high' recalling what had happened that day. I think their favourite was making 'Marshy' dive in the mud to save their shots!
As a result the boys enjoyed it so much Callowbrook asked Total Football to run training sessions for the club on Saturday mornings to which all of my team attend following our normal training session.
As a dad and a coach I spend too much of our training time struggling to keep the attention of the boys, which has got harder as the years have progressed. However the moment I hand over to TotalFootball the boys immediately respond & the sessions become much more productive & enjoyable.
So far the kids have been coached by Richard Sneekes, Daryl Burgess, Chris Marsh & Super Bob (Taylor). All of the coaches have invaluable experience & knowledge of the game in all areas of the pitch, to have the opportunity to work with them to help the boys reach their maximum potential is brilliant.
I think the club is very fortunate to have this partnership with TotalFootball.

Chris Marsh has a great way of communicating with people of all ages... and that gives him a great strength in coaching.
'Marshy' has always been a great character and enjoyed a good, solid professional football career where he always gave his best for the teams he represented.
I personally feel he could easily have played at a higher level and I know that view is shared by many other people within the media.
He's the type of character who will make coaching sessions enjoyable at the same time as learning new skills and methods throughout a course.
His experience and communication skills, together with his knowledge of the game at all levels, mean he is sure to be a big hit with those who attend his sessions.
'Marshy' is a legend in Midlands football... and the same applies to both Richard Sneekes and Daryl Burgess who I have reported on many times during their career with West Bromwich Albion.
I always felt both were very intelligent players, Burgess rock-solid in defence and Sneekes a handful for any defence as an attacking midfielder. At their peak I reckon both would be worth millions today.
I wish the guys great success - they are all winners and I'm sure their coaching courses will be well attended.

I have known and used totalfootballuk.com for a number of years now in the way of recruitment and helping place young players into a happy and friendly environment.
The coaches are very bright and enthusiastic in their approach and work which is a major factor in developing the younger players.
If my son was a young player looking to start in a coaching environment I would have no hesitation in sending him to total football.

I have known Daryl since the age of 10, Chris since the age of 16 and Richard since I first ran up against him on a football pitch, whilst he was at West Bromwich Albion.
Chris worked for me on the NS Fusion Project in Solihull and was great at working with kids of all ages and able to pass on a wealth of knowledge.
I first met Chris whilst he was playing for Walsall at youth team level as a left winger and our paths crossed regularly whilst he was perfecting the famous Marsh 'step over!'
Most importantly of all, he was reliable and always did what he said he would do.
Daryl has always been a rock-solid character and I know he has a real passion and enthusiasm for football and is one of the best one-on-one defenders I know.
He should be - I taught him all I know whilst playing for North Star Rangers on a Sunday morning all those years ago!!!!!!
Richard is a great lad and person we should encourage to keep in English football as he has an amazing array of talent and skills that would improve any player.
Like Chris and Daryl, Richard is reliable, trustworthy and fantastic at adapting the session to the standard of the kids so it is - above all else - fun.

Callowbrook Swifts were fortunate enough to be able to hold a week-long Training School, run by Total Football, in October. As we have 14 teams within the Club all age-groups were catered for and it would be no exaggeration to say that each and every player who attended not only had a great time but also learned lots of new skills and techniques. To see our players being coached by such people as Chris Marsh, Daryl Burgess, Richard Sneekes and Bob Taylor was, for me, extraordinary and very satisfying and, for the players themselves, totally exciting.
The week was so successful I asked Total Football to start Saturday Training sessions on a regular basis, which they have done, very successfully, every week since then. On top of all this I also asked them to come along on a Thursday evening to coach my own Under 12's team and, again, there was no hesitation from Total Football, they agreed immediately and have been coaching my team for two months now.
Coaching of this calibre is not often available to Junior Clubs or their players and everyone at Callowbrook Swifts feels very proud and privileged to be associated with Total Football. I would certainly offer my full support to Total Football and fervently recommend them to any person looking for a course for their son or daughter, or any Club thinking of running a course... you won't get better than Total Football, I challenge you to try!
Keith Atkins, Chairman and Under 12's Manager, Callowbrook Swifts JFC.

The idea of having an independent coaching facility for kids is without doubt a great one, to then have ex professional footballers taking the sessions is a wonderful scenario, and it can only be a terrific success. Kids will have the opportunity to learn first hand what it's like to be a professional player, learn about the game and take part in a session with those professionals; this can only be a positive in their development.
Since the playing days I have been in constant touch with Chris even during his coaching in Australia and the United States of America via e-mail and phone, very few British professional footballers have the knowledge acquired from working on different continents, a knowledge that I believe will be invaluable in this new venture.
Way back when I was having hits with Kylie Minogue, Jason Donovan, Mel & Kim, Rick Astley and Billy Ocean, to escape the madness of London, I would drive to Walsall to watch football matches in my home town and became friends with some of the senior professional footballers at Walsall Football Club, the senior lads thought highly of Marshy as a player and thought him to be of solid character, that was when and how I met Chris Marsh.
I was there when Chris made his first team debut and scored after seven seconds, only for one of our strikers to be late coming out and the goal being ruled offside. In today's offside rule the goal would have stood and Marshy would have held the debut scoring record to this day
Chris had supported me through the ups and downs of my music career and it was only right that I should support him in his playing career. His debut at Wycombe was a great night, Pete Waterman and I travelled to the game and Chris had left tickets for us, as we went in, the doorman surprised to see Pete and I there, said "Who is this Chris Marsh! Everybody knows him" Again, Marshy the legend.
Chris was famous for his "step over" a trick that was a real crowd pleaser and one that Ronaldo of Manchester United has tried to copy, but if you want to see the real thing there is only one "step over king." Hopefully in the not too distant future we may see some Midland youngsters that can actually do the "step over" properly. I know for sure, if I had a son that wanted to learn about football then it's Marshy I'd send him to, I cannot recommend Chris Marsh highly enough.

We just want to say a great big thank-you for helping Louie develop his love of football and for playing a big part in developing his football skills.
He still says his favourite times for playing football are the saturday mornings with yourselves.
He is signing for West Bromwich Albion next week,so it is doubtful whether he will be able to play 'total football' again so we just wanted to tell you how much we appreciate the time and dedication you gave Louie and to all the other children you train and we will certainly be recommending you to others.
Thank You
Mark, Una and Louie Barry, Feb 2011
